Subwing $500-$900 (Fiberglass or Carbon versions)
This is the type of toy that I wouldn’t hesitate taking for a dive. The Subwing is a new adventure toy that allows the rider to “Fly” underwater while being pulled behind the boat. It looks compelling, crazy, and pretty much amazingly fun all at once; so I’m down to try it out. The wing dives easily up to 30 feet below the surface and can be controlled with a simple tilt of the fins. With a GoPro mount to catch all the action it’s on my to do list of crazy summer fun. My only question is the pressure changes that leave my ears throbbing when I dive too deep out at the lake. That may be a downside, but the folks in the video here don’t seem to mind. The wing folds up into a compact bag for easy stowage so there is no excuse not to own one – except the steep price tag.
