Redding Beer Week Event List: Friday 8/22

We’re getting close to the end of Redding Beer Week. Our livers are happy, but our taste buds are not. Start your weekend proper with the following:

All Day: Wildcard Food Pairing at Mary’s Pizza Shack

Trek Tech tested and approved. Stop in for some excellent food perfectly paired with some of Wildcard’s best brews.

All Day: Sierra, Salads and Sandwiches at Carnegie’s

Forget the 2-martini lunch - this is beer week. Snag a few Sierras and an amazing sandwich at Carnegies.

3:00pm-Closing: Firkin Friday at The Alehouse

An educational introduction to cask ale, featuring brews from different breweries.

4:00pm-Closing: Beer’d Competition at Vintage

A Lagunitas tap takeover, live blues, and a throwdown of the manliest beards in the North State. Do not miss this.

5:00pm-9:00pm: Pints on the Patio at CR Gibbs

Head out to Hilltop Drive for a pairing of Fall River beers, beer-inspired food, and music on the patio.

5:00pm-Closing: Sierra Nevada Takeover at Maxwell’s Downtown Eatery

Sierra Nevada takes over 20+ taps at Maxwell’s, making it the largest tap takeover in Sierra Nevada history.

8:00pm-Closing: 20′s Costume Party at Capone’s

Come experience the roaring 20′s with Speakeasy beer and some great costumes. 20′s outfit not required, but who doesn’t want an excuse to dress like a gangster?

Sorry for the Neg comment in advance. I attempted to hit to Carnegie’s twice in the mid-afternoon to avoid the rush. both times I was denied the opportunity to do the Sierra pairings for different reasons. Unfortunately, that’s a fail in my book.

Friday looks amazing! I will feel like an utter failure if I don’t hit at least four of those.
