Help GU Energy and Strava Raise Money for Challenged Athletes…By Working Out!

Planning on going for a run or bike ride this weekend? Of course you are. Now you can raise money for physically challenged athletes while you do it! Two of our favorite companies, GU Energy and Strava have partnered together with a goal of raising $50,000 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF).

The money raised will be used to equip physically disabled athletes with adaptive sports equipment, allowing them to take up or resume an active lifestyle. Inspiring people to live an active lifestyle is one of our main passions at Trek Tech so we are stoked to participate in this event.

You can sign up through the Strava app today, and from October 6 through the 26th, GU Energy will donate $0.01 to help get disabled athletes back into the an active lifestyle.for every kilometer run, or for every three kilometers ridden using Strava’s distance tracking app.

Also, participants who run 50 kilometers or ride 300 kilometers during the challenge will have the option to buy a limited edition tee-shirt from Strava. All profits go to CAF and you can say you accomplished the challenge. We dare you to try and run or bike far enough to snag a shirt. Tag us on Instagram (@trek_tech) when you get your shirt to prove you could handle the challenge. We’ll send you a sticker or something.

So get running.
