Skis are supposed to be used on the mountain, right? Maybe for us, but for these guys, they’re all about the street skiing. For Lack of Better is a documentary following the lifestyle of 3 professional street skiers, and not just their epics jumps, kickers, and rail slides. This film highlights the life behind the camera just as much as the life in front. We see injuries (check out 1:13, *cringe*), conflict, and a street skier’s brutal honesty about their health and happiness. This film is covering a truly unique and creative corner of the outdoor industry and is what a documentary is all about.

Full film release is in November, and yes, you’ll walk away with new words in your vocabulary like ‘gnar’, ‘stoke’, and ‘hyphy.’

Wendy Ewing- (backpacker/alpinist, runner, mountain biker, climber, skier, photographer) is an outdoor enthusiast with a whole lot of passion and conviction. While all the other girls were shopping in malls and getting their nails done, Wendy was racing mountain bikes and trekking the North Cascades of Washington state with her family. She summited Mount Adams at 11, Mount Rainier at 15, and spends the majority of her life in the mountains and doing all those other mountain sports. She also has a passion for living an ethical lifestyle, both socially and environmentally.
