Avex FreeFlow ($18)
The Good: One handed operation means I get hydrated no matter what I’m up to.
The Bad: Monster bottle doesn’t fit in my cup holder
Bonus: Auto-seal top makes a soggy backpack a thing of the past.
One thing I always have with me is a hefty supply of water. Hydration has to come in at the top of the list when it comes to playing as hard as we do out there. But hefting that H2O around takes some planning, a busted water bottle is just not an option. One of my favorite bottles for daily hydration has been the Avex FreeFlow I picked up a few years back. It was sized right, and the one handed operation was a huge selling point. Well, we just got a hold of a few of their newer version, and they’re still holding strong as my go-to bottle. The top has an integrated button that can be squeezed while gripping the bottle for easy drinking when you want, but a solid seal when you don’t. Because of this system, I can toss it into my bag without leaks which means my stuff stays dry no matter how active I am during the day.
The bottle is made from durable BPA -free poly-carbonate that can take some abuse without failing; other integrated features include a slim fold down handle and flip-top cover to keep out the grime. The bottles come in 17oz, 25oz, and 34oz versions. My 34oz is great for all day hydration, but keep in mind it won’t fit in most cup holders. So, if you’re looking for a bottle that will keep you running strong all day, the Avex FreeFlow is an easy pick.
